Calvary Baptist Church of Borger

I was born in Illinois, but grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I graduated from high school and enlisted in the United States Navy. I honorably served during Vietnam and enjoyed my time in the Navy. Not only did I travel all over Asia, but it was in the Navy that I came to know Jesus Christ as my Savior. I married my high school sweetheart, Trina while in the service. We have two daughters and 2 sons-in-law and four grandchildren. I accepted His invitation to become a pastor in 1975.

After leaving the Navy, we returned to Albuquerque where I attended the University of New Mexico and graduated in 1983. We then moved to San Francisco, California where I attended Golden State Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I graduated with a master's degree in 1985. God allowed me to pastor full time in five churches over the past 35 years. My wife Trina worked hard to support what God called me to do. 

I enjoy John Wayne movies and reading my favorite authors Dallas Willard, Richard Foster, and Hank Hanegraaff. Trina and enjoy spending time with our children and grandchildren.

My prayer is to become more Christlike. We are blessed to serve at Calvary Baptist Borger.
